hello there,
i super new here, but i have a big question for the experts:
it is posible to instal apps on this device.?
if yes ...we could put in an voip client or even a skyper version to have the ipod touch phone...bc wifi we have:)

Skype is a closed protocol, Without the creators/owners of skype creating a client you are out of luck for skype on the iPod touch even once people have enabled application installation.

You can use a "SKYPE" like feature, still buggy from my use though.
http://s4iphone.com/index_phone.jsp. If you dial a number, it calls the specified phone (assumably yours) back... you can chat too.

Wouldn't the ipod touch need some kind of input like a microphon. as far as i know it does not have. so how talking??

You would definitely need a microphone to serve this purpose, but I don't think it's all that impossible. Griffin was able to make a microphone for recording lectures with the older iPod. Although it's possible that there were some sort of prior agreements with Apple to make it happen, it may happen with the iPod touch as well.
The second question is how you would implement this, maybe some 3rd party applications could do the trick, just not with Skype as goggremlin.
