Probably not. It's somewhat difficult, IIRC, do deal with adding bluetooth proflies as it involves modifying the bluetooth stack. It's very possible that I'm missing some crucial part of the equation, but I always thought of this kind of thing as rewriting drivers.

The uk iPhones with the 1.1.1 update seem to have a lot of new features. Anyone know if there were any changes to Bluetooth?

There has been no update for us in the US. But if you buy a phone in the UK, it comes with a newer version of the software (1.1.1), which has some additional features, for example, the ability to turn off Edge connections and controls for TV-out. I haven't heard or read anything concerning any changes to bluetooth in this version of the OS, and was wondering if anyone else does.

Not quite true. Is also works works with bluetooth car kits such as the Parrot 3200 LS-COLOR (http://www.parrot.com/uk/products/3200ls-color).

I have paired my unlocked phone to my audi handsfree car kit....
Lovely
But I also have a jabra headset and a bluphones wireless headset for bluetooth
These 2 devices don't show up....
Is this right, surely headsets should work.
Also how come you can't turn the bluetooth into on and not just discoverable all the time.
When you go into the bluetooth menu you can't change the phones bluetooth name or anything. It looks like the phone is always looking for devices as well.
Surely this is right ????

I do know that iPhone have a lot of details to modify until it is perfect, but what bothers me the most is the inability to "reconnect" to a paired bluetooth headset.
I share my headset with my wife, so I use it on my iPhone and she on her phone, whenever she was using it, I have to repair the iPhone to the headset, even knowing that my headset keeps the record of the last 5 deviced paired with.
A simple reconnect would be good! But it doesn't have it!
Did anyone come up with a hack for that yet?
