You have to love that 1.67MHz of power there man ;)

One thing is sure ! At 1.67Mhz, the G4 dissipate less than 0.05W and the powerbook's battery will last for month before going out of charge... maybe just enought to see powerbook boot :D

If you look at the results the CPU "power" is quite respectable, it's benching about the same as a P4@3GHz. It's the slow memory sub-system that drags the score down. Good old G4, a much undervalued CPU imho.

I wonder why the memory benches so low, isn't that supposed to be DDR? Or just plain ol' SDRAM?

I agree that the CPU still crunches well compared to other hacks, and the memory and HD test really hurt the total score.

I would like to see how your "slow" G4 PB works with Geekbench, I'd bet you'll get much more accurate results.

It's PC2700 DDR in single channel.

Yep, and the system bus isn't DDR, so it's only as useful as SDR at 167MHz. The G4 would probably be faster than the G5 for a lot of tasks at the same clock if it had received a newer bus architecture within its lifetime :(
