Well I think I may go pick up an AppleTV today, if you need any help testing, etc. Let me know. I participated in the OSX86 project, so I have a *little* experience with apple mods.

Yeah, I tried boot camp, at first it didn't work because of the EFI thing, but I got to work. here's how I did it:
You will need 2 things; 1. the apple TV dmg file that's about 600 MB in size (try T.P.B.) 2. at least 5 gigs of space on your HD.
I used bootcamp to partition the drive into a 5 gig partition for the AppleTv OS, then I booted off the OSX install dvd and used disk utility from there to format the partition so I could use it to install the OS, I then from within disk utility opened the disk image file containing the OS and restored it to my newly formatted partition, and that's about it. after that just quit the installer and don't forget to hold down the option key while booting up the computer so you can select the drive.
(oh and just a little advice before you do this, back everything up first!)
Happy Hacking:)

so wait you got bootcamp working on the appletv? does that mean dual bootings now possible? appletv/macosx... and if so does that mean perhaps a windows install might be doable?
