Hi guys,

I tried Googleing my problem for days now, and I'm still stuck with my activated, (was) fully functioning MCE 2005 NTFS partition on a DMG backup I made before I try Vista. I know I'm dumb enough to use Disk Utility to make an NTFS DMG for backup now, but I didn't know a better choice still now. I rather use NTFS because I didn't want to have OS X messing around with my Windows, just as I won't allow Windows screwing around my OS X :p .

Now I'm sure it works for my Mac Book Pro with ether Windows XP MCE 2005 or Vista Home Premium living peacefully together, but not both Windows. I don't want to only use Vista, I'd rather go back to my MCE and throw out Vista, I hate that crab anyway :D .

Now my question is:

1, Is there any ways and means that I can utilize that DMG I have with the MCE on NTFS?

2, If yes, does anyone know a way to make Boot Camp allow tri-boot OS X, XP and Vista?

3, If I can't use that DMG, then what's the best way to dual boot or tri-boot OS X with one or two Windows installed.

I love my Mac Book Pro so much that I really don't want to go back to my huge HP MCE notebook. At least I'm not going to drag her to work or school :(

OK about booting OS X, MCE and Vista, honestly I dont know. But to restore your MCE dmg you can try NTFS3G W/ MacFuse.

NTFS3G & MacFuse allow you to write to NTFS partition which by default OS X can't do.

Install MacFuse Core from http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/

Then install the attached dmg Contains MacFuse and NTFS3G. This allows you to write to NTFS partition. I have used it on my macbook and works for me.

EDIT: I found this information on another forum and I cant remember who posted it there. SO all credit due to the unknown stranger whose work I appreciate.

I tend to agree mostly but I'm still learning so I'll keep reading till I get it completely.
