hi,
im trying to use mocha vnc lite on my iphone 3g. ive installed realvnc to my pc and opened port 5500, 5800, 5900 from my belkin wireless router as www.portforward.com says and opened the same port on pc's firewall as well. i can connet to my pc when i use the same wi-fi at home but i cant connet it when i use the edge or out of my wi-fi area. i get the error message says "Host has closed the session"
i have checked so many website but there is no any guide or information for windows users,
so can anyone help me on this please.
thanks a million from advance.
You will probably find that the ports are blocked on edge

You will probably find that the ports are blocked on edge
so its mean there is no chance to use the app outside of the house then.
thats ridiculous mate.

I had the same issue just an hour ago.
The way I got around it is to turn off "32-bit Color mode" in the connection settings. After this it connected fine.
I would also double check your port forwarding on the router. Make sure that port 5900 is forwarded to your PC's IP address and make sure that you create a new connection to your machine using your routers WAN IP address (Not your PC's 192.168.x.x address)

Thanks for all your helps but still cannot connect it.
MrLoveJr i just noticed that i didnot close 32 bit settings, thanks.
could you please explain what you mean by that "create a new connection to your machine using your routers WAN IP address" how do i create it?
it is so frustrating, i loved the application but i cant use it properly.
thaks again...

When you are not connected on the same LAN as your router (ie outside of your house), you will not be able to see the LAN IP of your computer.
Assume that your router's LAN address is 192.168.0.1 and your PC is 192.168.0.2 and when in your house your iPhone is 192.168.0.3.... You can connect using VNC directly to 192.168.0.2. However, when you are not in your house, your routers LAN IP range is not available to your phone.. then you will need to connect to it from the WAN IP address (the one provided by your ISP to your router).. could be anything eg. 80.80.124.36.
You will need to port forward TCP (may as well do UDP too) port 5900 to your PC IP address (in this example 192.168.0.2).
Then on your phone make the VNC connection to your WAN IP address of your router (in this example 80.80.124.36). This will now connect to your PC.
You will need to change all the IP addresses here for your own ones

I'm having the same problem.
I've checked my router and I can't find a wan address. I can see my adsl port ip address, and one called a gateway ip address. Which one of thse is it?
I also can not connect when I am in the house to the pc ip address. I have opened port 5900 on the firewall, but it still doesn't connect.

Yes, the ADSL port IP address is the same as WAN IP address,
Have you got a VNC host installed on the machine that you are trying to connect to?
If not, try tightVNC or realVNC (host, not client) for PC
If you are trying to connect to a mac (OSX) enable screen sharing and add a password for VNC connections

yeah. I've got real VNC server installed on my pc I want to be able to access.
It's running win XP.
I've got macha vnc lite to listen on port 5900, which I've opened on the firewall as well.

thanks for everyone specially MrLoveJr thank you so much mate, you are the best.

P.S. 32 mode is not a problem, i can connect both modes;)

I've used VNC since 2.0. No problems.
Make sure u assign a Static IP for the PC/MAC.
And make sure you can ping your phone.
