Pandora Oustide US Hack?

Hi everyone,

I am one of the unlucky people who can't use Pandora because I am not living in the US.

My ultimate goal would be to be able to listen to Pandora for the iPhone 3G.

Here is what I know so far.
- you can access and listen to pandora outside the US using Hotspot Shield, a free VPN client.
- you can install the Pandora Application by creating a US Apple Store account and syncing the application to the iPhone.
- The Application seems to be installed in /Private/Var/Mobile/Applications and under one of the folder you see there
- Once the application is installed, if I try to run it I get "network connection error" or something like that

I am not a good cracker/hacker but I have decent knowledge with regard to using SSH to go into the phone.

I think the best way to start is to find out how the region check is done.

Any help would be greatly appreciated by what I would assume to be a huge crowd of people who'd like to use Pandora outside the US

Forget it. It's done server side. Server won't send any info if you're outside US.
Your best call is to use VPN (as I do).

Purchase or have your company provide you us vpn service.

Like piranha said, the easiest way is to use a VPN. I do also used one to listen to pandora without problems (Im in Argentina). Right now im not listening to Pandora since i bought Tuner, best Radio App ever.

are there any free vpns, if so where? would hotspot shield work on the iphone? How would I set it up?
