I've seen tutorials for building a Windows computer, so I'm wondering... is it the same for building a hackintosh? I understand you have to find compatible hardware :hack:

actually that's not right. pretty much everything works except pci cards unless you get a very popular mobo. anyways right now the only thing that isn't supported is p45 chipsets and ich10 north bridge motherboards. IMO Kalyway is the best install dvd. also most ps/2 mice and keyboards work but going with usb is probably safer. i have a cheap wireless logitech keyboard and mouse combo thats ps/2 and it works fine :)

Just buy a Dell Vostro 200 and an ATI 2600HD graphics card. Everything then just works :D
(Dell Vostro 200 was £99/$198 last time I got one)

I thought Leopard only came on one type of install DVD? And why would USB be safer?

I'm guessing you bought one of the models that comes with Vista Home Basic?
