I unlocked my iphone using ziphone and my firmware is 1.1.4 . I would like to add the free apps from the itunes store such as shazam and many others. But after downloading them to the applications tap on itunes I cannot drag them onto the iphone that is plugged in. What are the ways i can add those apps onto the iphone? The installer I have already for the iphone is limited and does not offer shazam and its variants. maybe theres a source i can add to the installer to give me those free apps.

Dude,

Apps from the App Store are only for firmware 2.0+.

ohh i see, is there a way to update things in the same manner as before? I want to be able to do what i do now with the 2.0 firmware. how close are people to attaining that position?

Just do a soft firmware upgrade to 2.0 if you want. ... remember to uninstall the old itunes COMPLETELY and restart your computer and then download the NEW itunes 7.7
then upgrade to the new firmware 2.0...then use iLiberty+ v1.3 to jailbreak, activate, unlock

How come there is no stick mentioning the itunes removal first? Just curious...this is the first I have seen this....


I have a 1.1.4 phone unlocked using pwnage 1.1

I presently have itunes 7.7.1 (11)

If I wish to upgrade to 2.0 using pwnage 2.0.1 on a mac, must I delete Itunes first like this?

Cheers for any clarification.I've never heard of the iTunes uninstall/reinstall, I don't believe it's necessary. Just don't tell iTunes to restore settings from 1.1.4 to your 2.0-installed phone, because it may create problems -- tell iTunes it's a new phone.
