Hi-

Just seen this free app on AppStore - it is a messenger application that does all the usual suspects; gmail, msn, yahoo, etc..

Obviously you have to provide this third party your username/password for whichever provider you want to use - do you guys think this is a problem - or am I just being paranoid?

Anyone used it - and if so, is it any good?

Thanks

Well in theory unless they're using some kind of proxy it should be able to sign on directly using the (for example) MSN protocol and thus be as secure as using WLM on your PC.

I think the "signing up" is because they want you to use *their* messenger instead of MSN or anything else, so you have to have an account with them and their messenger.

Yes, you do sign up with them - and then effectively you have a parlingo account to message people also on parlingo.....

But then selecting/using additional messenger accounts seems to be separated from parlingo.

If it is in the AppStore, it is supposed that Apple verified it.
