Well, there are more MSN clients available for OSX.

Each has its strengths and weaknesses. Adium does not have access to video chat, but it has an easy to use, easy to learn interface. Mercury is rather laggy, but it is a nice alternative if you like something like Adium as Mercury offers video chat (abit rather laggy, its java).
