Hi,

I would like to know if there is a possibility to use other dic than the one included with wedict from appstore.
I have uploaded my dic via ssh in /var/mobile/Applications/xxxx-xxxx-xxxx.../WeDict.app
It worked good till I sync the phone. Than the wedict app do not want to start.....

I also try to upload the dic in /var/library/wedict as it was on 1.1.4 but wedict doesn't find the dic.

Please, is there another possibility or something to do to prevent wedict to be corrupted from the itunes sync.
It is maybe due to the checksumm control of the folder of wedict, can someone help me ???

Thread renamed > please take the time to read the title format in my signature, thanks.

As for your problem, if you add dictionaries in weDict you must codesign it again with ldid, search my posts with "ldid" as keyword for more details. ;)

You can also use symlinks instead of original dictionary files.

Just install a dictionary via cydia, for example merriam-webster.

After this, you are free to drop any dict into your wedict directory. And this even works after an itunes sync!

Enjoy!

Sh... it only worked until the phone was rebootet.

But new strategie:

Copy the WeDict.app Folder to /Applications and remove wedict from itunes.

Seems to work...

I also want my dict's back, and the few on Cydia are not enough. A guide would be very appreciative.
