[AppStore] Apps not working

After pwning the 3g, suddenlly apps dont want to work

well

boot: apps work
reboot: apps dont work
reboot: some apps work
reboot: apps that did work now dont
reboot: no apps work
reboot: some apps work

if i reinstall the apps, they work, but then after reboot they again dont work

this is only official apps from appstore aswell,

e.g. Twinkle worked, now it doesnt

anyone know a way of fixing this, is it something as simple as setting the file system to write like some of the old installer.app stuff

I'm getting the same thing, only I don't have a 3g (1st gen iphone).

I ended up deleting and re-installing all the AppStore apps, but I thought it was just something I did.

Sounds like maybe there is a conflict with the jailbreak/pwnage.

Can not confirm that really, as I am using 10 Apps roughly and the all work fine. sometimes one or the other crashes, but that is normal at the moment not all work smoothly yet.

I heard and can confirm, that something in Cydia is breaking the AppStore apps.
If you install something from Cydia, the AppStore apps get broken, and are not useable anymore. (For me atleast.) I'm on a 3g iPhone.

Actually there is quite a discussion going on over at the apple iphone forum about all the crashing, etc. The problem seems to be across the board - 1st gen phones, 2nd gen phones, official ones, jailbroken ones, the lot. It seems to all point to the new firmware.
I've had to reinstall, restore, got stuck at apple logo, etc. more times in the last 4 days with the new firmware running only apple apps than I EVER had with any other firmware version or unofficial installer app.
Was the 'sand boxing' idea of apple's not to prevent exactly what is now happening to everyone?
So far my phone has worked the best with fw 114 & installer apps.
So I don't think that Cydia has got anything to do with this - Apple just needs to bring out a fixed & working v2.01 firmware SOON.

I doubt it has something to do with Cydia, I'd rather think this is a bug with FW 2.0.1. I didn't have any crashing problems with FW 2.0.

Btw: I have two officially unlocked iPhone 3G, one is running with the original FW 2.0.1 and the other one has a jailbroken 2.0.1. Both show the same problems with apps from Appstore crashing, so this can't really be an issue with Cydia or Installer. On the other hand, it seems that apps from Cydia and/or Installer CAN provoke the apps crashing issue after they restart the springboard or reboot the phone.

I think the whole Appstore apps crashing has something to do with the DRM management, maybe the updated FW(due end of this month or September) with that "infamous 3G fix"(IF possible with a software patch) will fix the apps crashing issue too.

Same prob here, after a rebot NO AppStore apps runs.

After i delete one app of my choice and reinstall it via AppStore all the other apps are working again!

My tip: "RubyRepeat" from the AppStore repaired everytime my whole apps ... just as work-a-round untill a real patch exists

I dont think it has anything to do with Cydia either. All my apps have broken and i dont have it. ive rebooted a couple of times and restored a few times and im still in the same situation. Has any1 found a soultion? Do i have to restore it as a new iphone?

i'm having same problem.
i used winpwn 2.5 beta
then applied firmware 2.0.2 via itunes
i've tried both itunes 7.7.0 and 7.7.1 and both gave same results.

i setup a new iphone, i do not restore backup

i download an appstore app i have purchased and it won't open, it trys then throws me out to springboard

i have tried using the bossprefs to fix dir permissions, but no luck

i have restored my iphone 3 times now and in each case its the same.

i went to the apple forums and there is a very long thread there too about same thing.

i can not figure out if its winpwn breaking the apps or the firmware itself.

when i had 2.0 i dont believe i had these problems but 2.02 has given nothing but headaches


i will try using 2.0 and see if that works like it used to.
