Hi, has anyone measure inside the battery with
an voltmeter ?

without charging:
black to red -> 4,1V
white to red -> 4,1V
black to white -> 0V

with usb power ->
black to red -> 4,1V
white to red -> i can't remember :-)
black to white -> 2,1V !!!!!!!!!????????????? Whats this ???

Can someone confirm, is this is ok and what do the white cable ?!

I have the 1011 error and want check that i have no short circuit or an battery
problem before i change the com-board....

I can't swear that I remember it correctly nor that my voltmeter did a correct measurement either(the meter was low on battery). But AFAIK I got 5v between red and black. I also believe it was nearly at full charge.

Your 4v however sounds alot more accurate since the battery, if I remember correctly is rated at 3,7v?

My phone is also bricked and I'm almost certain it's the comboard. GSM/WIFI and the sound stopped working just after I removed the RF shield cover from the comboard, no other steps taken inbetween. It wouldn't surprise me having constant power from the battery can do some ugly things if one is not very careful mucking around in the phone.

5V on a lithium ion battery generally leads to small thermonuclear like explosions. 4.2V is much more acceptable. Go to batteryuniversity.com for all you ever wanted to know about batteries and then some.

thx,

the white cable seems to be a temperature signal....
so it's ok with 2,1 V

I hope the com-board arrive soon and i go happy again :-)

You're maybe in the right direction. Hacktheiphone.com web site reports that error 1011 can be fixed by unsoldering red wire of battery, then disconnect comm board. Had not tested myself as I don't have the problem. If anyone wants to give it a try...
