[AppStore][Solved] Register to iTunes Store from unsupported countries ?

Apple uses Fairplay to prevent piracy of the AppStore's apps which is normal as they do the same for old Gen iPod games.

The only thing that i don't really appreciate is that they also put DRM in the free apps.
So you are obligated to register/sign-in to be able to download free apps.
This is a lame action from Apple to increase its customers database.

It's not that i don't want to buy apps for my iTouch, it is simply because i can't. I live in an unsupported country, but i still want to use free apps.

They should let people all around the world to register a special Apple ID account that only authorizes them to download free stuffs and add an option to upgrade this account to a Standard Apple ID to buy stuffs later if they want to.

I live in Trinidad & Tobago in the Caribbean (West Indies to be correct)

and we have no Apple Store (on nor off line)

I have an account that I managed to get when they had they Blue man promotion, and i choose to use NONE as my payment option, and used my address (was not required to enter cc info)'

BUT

if i try to purchase anything i cant, BUT i can use itune gift cards using the redeem feature,

Apple has personally told me i cant get use itunes cards to update my ipod touch and i told the lady to tell Steve I'll be jailbreaking it because of that lol

they say they are "working on a solution"

but i would like to know how they plan to tackle this. i am betting gift cards and itunes cards will be able to be purchased world wide, thatw ay they make a lil $$ off the purchase of the itunes gift card and then $$ off the app/itunes store...

step 1: Get a free code
step 2: Redeem
Now open the Itunes store and look on the right-hand until you see the redeem option. Click it.
step 3: Enter your code
Enter your code into the space and hit enter.
step 4: Create your account
When you enter your code, Itunes will ask you to log into your account. Choose to create your account instead. Go through the pages as they come. Here comes the good part. When you get to the payment page, if you look on the bottom (where they ask the method of payment), a new option "none" should be available. Fill out the page and use "none" as your method of payment.
step 5: Congragulations!

I am both US and Japan iTunes Account but I am not living in these 2 countries. Just buy iTunes gift card from these countries, you can create whatever address you like.

I just made an AOL account, then bought an iTunes US card on eBay. The seller sent me the code and I could buy from the US store. Too bad Pandora Radio doesn't work regardless.

I have 2 accounts created by the sameway but none of them are working, I always ended with the Error 1009 when downloading free apps...

both accounts are US but I'm not living in US so is this the problem?

Yes you can, i do.

Make sure your account address is in US and valid.

Make sure the iTunes store where you are trying to download apps to is the same country as when you registered.

I did that, changed the address into a valid US address and used a valid US phone number...same error.

one other question, do u have an iTunes Music Store in your country? cause I don't.

or maybe Apple blocked my IP? I mean my country's IP not mine? :confused:

hiya folks - when i log onto the app store from my iphone (UK 2g) and try and download apps i get an error message saying that my itunes account will only let me download content from itunes UK.

well - considering im IN the uk why would i get that error.... its as if my iphone is looking at the US version of the app store or something.

Is there any way to change this?

You need a US code to use the US store, AU code is for AU store.

If i register for itunes account using a Credit/debit Card info, account to be able to download free apps. And later Jailbreak my iTouch, which i have to inorder to do some development.

Will it be still safe, & possible to again connect back to itunes ?

I tried to use this method but even with the none option I get a message that I have not entered a valid Credit Card no and expiry date...

Can someone help me in creating an account on iTunes; by creating a free account for me I can send him my email address....
