[Update] New MacBook Pro, VERY slow update

Hello,

I just bought my Macbook Pro and am trying to do an update (Mac Update) it says I have 5 updates, when I click install, it asks for agree a couple of times and then the download starts, IT IS EXTREMELY slow, for example, the 560mb says will take 15 hours!!! I know my connection is not bad coz I can download at speeds around 50 kbs???

Any ideas??

Thats also slow, is it maybe Apple's site is being hammered and running slow??? I also had another small issue, when running VMWare my mac hangs often??? need to hard shut down the whole machine???? is it normal??
