Hi guys. I have a mac mini since december and it has leopard. I tried to install something the other day but it wouldn't let me as it needed an administrator's username and password. I am the only one who uses the mac but apparently i'm not the administrator on it? Is there a default user name and password? If not, any ideas how I can reset both the user name and the password? Thanks, David.

Woah. Not sure how that happened. Here's what I'd do:
Boot in single user mode (cmd+S on boot), and run these three commands:
mount -uw /
rm /private/var/db/.AppleSetupDone
reboot
The Mac will reboot into Setup Assistant. Create an account here, which will be admin. When it gets to registration or asks for an Apple ID, press cmd+Q and click "Skip".
Log in to the new admin account, go to Accounts preferences, and use it to change your old account to Admin. Log into your old account and delete the new one.
Boom.

your default admin account should surely be the account you set up when you first received your mac/mac mini
