I recently installed the developer preview, and i must say its very stable. Things run pretty awesome and fast. And if anyone is looking for a fast OS
i would totally recommend getting it.
im not going to post links but a google search will solve the problem
and if anyone else has it please post their problems with it
and what programs don't work.
Or just their own review :)

I have a copy, have you tested any of the pro applications? Im a sucker for new stuff! And i would like to know if final cut, photoshop etc works! If anyone here has tested it can you tell me how well it performs?

I am having problems installing my copy of Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium... fails on Flash.
But then again, the disk is a little scratched. Haven't a clue how as I am normally so careful with my DVDs.

I'm looking forward to how well it'll perform on my Celeron D. :P

Works like a charm in Celeron D 478 pins (with kernel modified).
PowerPC going down, crap Celeron D going up. :D

Does this have an expiry date or something...?
Because I got a copy of it and dont mind installing it IF it never expires like other Bets versions of OSs like Microsoft...
Bec. Now I will stop spending on OS upgrades and will run this version of SnowLeopard Developers Preview for a few years....

any hint on how you got it working? i got double kernel panic on intel dual core :(

Double panic even there, that's how I tried it:
1. open OSInstall.mpkg from a working Leo 10.5.3 to a GUID formatted blank test Sata Hard Disk
2. Put Chameleon bootloader on that disk
3. Put 32 bit dsmos.kext, ApplePS2, Applesmbios kexts
4. Tried to boot with -legacy flag... double panic
I suppose we need some recompiled hacked 64-bit kexts, just like dsmos, but also AppleACPI... I think it's that stock 64 bit apple kext that generates one of the panic. This is my setup:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 CPU
Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L
4 Gigs of DDR2 1066 MHz Ram
Pioneer DVR-212 Sata DVD-RW
Any hint?

Wow, seriously? Man, if I had known that I wouldn't have sold it for this G5. :P
Now the only hack i have left is this AMD box... here's hoping for Snow Leo on AMD64! :D
Oh, and just for the heck of it, I tried booting the Snow Leopard installer on my iBook G3.. looks like they've completely removed the G3's machine identifiers from the kernel...

hahahahah " We are hanging here..." let me think in old times :D
Now, about error, is related to AppleACPIPlatform...maybe need some modifications on ACPI kext otr, need use this old kext from Leopard...maybe should work...(or not)... :fail
This tests is ftw. :hack:

I have to say, I am shocked.
Here we are two months post-wwdc08 and we are still using the same old wwdc build...
~Adrian
Double posted, sorry :-(
Anyways, I forgot to say I have a macbook c2d 2 ghz
I've just installed snow and ilife, I did run geekbench but I did get the same result as when I had 10.5.5
However, it does feel quite a bit faster actually, apps launch much faster.
I did also run xbench just to see if there is any difference in numbers.
Clean install with leo 10.4.9 my result was 106 and with snow 10.5.6 I got 120 so about 10-13% faster I guess.
But by feeling it feels more like 20% faster
Window focus seems to be a bit off from time to time. ilife did install perfect. I'll try more apps later on.

Who believes that Apple is starting to apply their iPhone ADC Pre-Release policies to their normal ADC subscriptions?
Just referring to the fact that it has been 4 months and there is still yet to be an updated Snow Leopard release, or anything else for that matter.
The whole point of ADC is to allow Pre-Release access to software to allow for compatibility testing *before* release, and that simply isn't happening any more.
~Adrian
That is a reason why I won't longer my ADC and will send a complainment letter to apple. Epic fail politics.
