silver sim cannot be called a unlock , its partial unlock only for ur SIM.

what do you mean by partial unlock? I am going to have all the functionionality of an unlock phone.

what he probably means by partially is that you just cant pop any sim and get the iphone working like you can with a normal unlocked gsm handset. you can only use a programmed silversim which is can only be done if the parent sim is a comp128v1.

just unlocked mine today on VODAFONE in delhi....
.........sigh of relief................

I was able to unlock the iPhone and use successfully on the Airtel network. Took a total of 40 minutes to unlock the thing.
works great.
