[iPhone 3G] Solar Charging... ?

Well, I know that this might not be true... But a Rumour and a fact makes me think that the 3G iPhone might have it...
Apple had patented the technology to keep solar panels under the touch screen to enable Solar changing... :)

And Rumors say... the 3G iPhone will have it! ;)

Well i say if it really has the Video calling feature and the 3G...its probably going to need this feature to not die so quickly.....

Problem being that no one in their right mind would leave a shiny new iPhone on a table to charge, it would be way too easy for someone to grab it and run away. Why are people so obsessed with solar charging? I'd much rather them concentrate on long lasting batteries, which they seem to have done with the 3g iPhone.

because once that battery dies and your out in the sahara, you have solar charging to look to

Well there are external solar chargers you can by and plug in the usb cable? i know its not very conveient but then again, if you remember to charge your iphone regularly you wont need it really anyway except for emergencies. Although it would have been a cool feature though.

No, but no one would use solar charging just for charging.

Solar charging would extend the battery life considerably.
