At deviantART we are really big fans of our iPhones. I am a big fan of this message board because people really know the ins and outs of the iPhone. Today we launched a new web based application for browsing art, films and literature on the iPhone and iPod touch.

We really wanted to bring our Art content to the iPhone so we have built an optimized web based application to browse the entire collection of artwork at deviantART. The mobile site has been optimized to display our library of over 55 million works of art ranging from Paintings, Photos, Digital Art and Drawings to Short Films and Poetry. The mobile deviantART site works similarly to the way that Facebook works on iPhone. Our Short Films even stream back in high quality just like the integrated Youtube application. We used a lot of cool iPhone Webkit custom CSS and other features to make this feel as much like an integrated app as possible. It has been built to work quickly both on EDGE networks and on WiFi and uses both vertical and horizontal orientations of the phone. When the new firmware comes out, you will also be able to download any image on dA as a wallpaper.

To access the mobile optimized site you just have to visit www.deviantART.com from an iPhone or Ipod Touch.

We are really proud of this application and we would love to hear your feedback.

Thanks,

Awesome webapp. Loving it!

One issue to report. When I go to a sub category of art, the bottom "next" button is missing for "Pop". If I go to "New" and then come back to the "Pop" tab, the bottom "next" button appears.
