For some odd reason my adressbook on the mac is completely empty from one moment to the other - my youngest backup is on the freshly synced iphone (a couple of hours earlier) where all of my 600+ contacts are still intact. How can I get the contacts from the iphone back to my mac adressbook?
I searched and couldnīt find anything - please help!
thx - bexxxo

Sync in iTunes. Contact syncing in iTunes is two way.
I'm not at my comp (posting from phone) but make sure that under Advanced in iTunes nothing is selected. There is an option to *replace* the contents of the phone. Make sure it is deselected.

I am afraid itunes might "think" the blanked out adressbook is more recent and therefor will sync blanc to phone... any experience with that?

Then manually setup one contact in Address Book as it is on your phone.
Sync after and it'll work. I recently did two phones this way.

Thanks NSLog for your help - didnīt get an email about your post and just went for it:
itunes realized it would delete more than 20% of my contacts and asked about it - I said "donīt delete" and my contacts were back in the adressbook...except for two i recently added in the phone - when i synced again they were deleted...so it worked but didnt feel too good...!
@Enro hope that helps - canīt really tell you anything more...
