Hi guys,
i have a prob, i can only take a call with speackers on.
With the speackers off i cant heart an talk.
And i can only hear music thruw headphones and not thruw the speackers.
I have du the Hardware Unlock and had disconnected the two white cables next the mainboard on the left side of the iPhone near the ringer- and aeroplane-buttons.
I need help...is it an hardware problem...ist the white cable the reason an when which of the both????
Or Software-Problem????

Had the same issue just after using the apple headphones. Had to plug the headphones back in and then take them out again, that solved the problem.

It is not the connection of the white cable(s). After i check this i have test the ídea to disconnet and connect my headphones.
And now i cant' use the headphones. The headphones works fine with my old ipod but not with the iphone.
I can use the mic button to stop the music which i can't hear so i think the connection must be work min. al little bit.
But is it now a software or hardware problem???

i think you need to run this
launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
then restart your iphone

I don't think Speackers make noise... Speakers may make sound however :P

Hello,
I have the same error.
I use 1.1.2 firmware and 04.02.13_G baseband on OTB 1.1.1 US iPhone.
I installed AudiAmp and my sound was gone.
I have sound on calls with speaker and on ringtone settings. Not on textmessage sound settings.
I tried to restore to 1.0.2 and 1.1.1 with no effect. I tried to restore baseband to 03.x with no effect.
On 1.0.2 the Wifi is not finding my network so i can not restore further basebands...
Can plese someone help me with this problem???
Hope to hear from you.
Thank you so far for putting so much work into the iPhone for make it usable us!!!
Bye Helge

Exactly same problem here :(

I also didnt hear anything in the iphone ear speaker, I had to reconnect earbuds couple of times, and then it would work.
Then i got the straw (the one you sip your juice with :D), put it in the heaphone jack, and took a deep breath in through the straw, and then i realised something flew into my mouth, and it was the piece of trash that was (i think) weakening iPhone's connector, so it was made to think that headphones were still in, and because of that it didn't play sound through little ear speaker.
After this "cleaning session" everything returned to normal.
Cheers!

All my sounds are gone and I dunno which app to uninstall to bring the back. But maybe its not an installed pp. BTW, I dont have installed AudioAmp.
All (sound) settings are ON. Tried to reset all settings, but still no sound. No cam sound, no sounds while tapping the buttons, no sounds anyhow :(
Did anybody tried to make a full recover? Or did I missed a function to turn on (again)
Need some help too.
thx

Your suggestion was short but very effective, as it appears. I have the same problem: No sound in ear piece while in a call, only on speaker. I'm a newbie so I'm not sure how or where to enter this command and what the specific command is. Do I enter the "launchctl load -w " in front of the rest of that command?
