Is there a way to tell which Nvdanv**hal.kext is the right one? I have a Geforce4 MX440. Any suggestions?

Too old

I think its 20.

But it wont work with Titan or Natit, Natit dev had a peek at it and said no

Try the last Titan with :
this files you should get from the new kernel:
IONDRVSupport.kext
NVDAResman.kext : delete this one
NVDANV10Hal.kext
NVDANV20Hal.kext
NVDANV30Hal.kext
NVDANV40Hal.kext
GeForce.kext : delete this one
GeForce2MXGLDriver.bundle
GeForceGA.plugin
GeForceFXGLDriver.bundle
GeForce3GLDriver.bundle
GeForceVADriver.bundle
