Geohot Unlock without Soldering

I managed to unlock my iphone without soldering and without a switch. You still have to open the iPhone and scrape the trace using the directions of Geohot. If anyone is interested I can document a step by step guide both for hardware and software modifications used.

I am assuming it's the same as the geohot method except you just connect a loose wire to the scraped trace and the +1.8v source at the time he throws the "switch" ? Should (if scraped neatly) give far lower chance of brickage, since no hot poker is mucking about near the electronics. I'm probably going to order my iPhone from the US somewhere this month. I'll try out this method before doing any soldering.

Actually I used a car window defogger repair tool (it is a conductive liquid in its original state material) and a wire and it worked perfectly. I think that a conductive pen could also be used but maybe it would be harder to break and connect the circuit whenever it is needed.
