Hi,

i wonder how the custom images from pwn software differ from
standard images.. Anybody has screens ?

Is only the start logo affected or some more images?

The images look good :) the boot image is the pineapple and the restore image is the jobs one (steve jobs).

You can't use custom ones yet though.

I love the new pictures... but is there a way to keep the original ones, just in case?

Yesh, the option is there when ur building the firmwarefile where you want to use dev team images or not.

I like em, but I prefer the original ones so thats what I use.

I'd rather not have a pineapple on my phone, but the retro logo from previous video's was pretty cool. I think the image files are the logo.img2 file in the resources folder. But what format are they in? Anyone know?

would appear so. there is also a recovery.img2. I think these are it, now we just need someone to tell us what format I tried several and none worked.

Could they be encrypted?

guess they could be but what would be the point in that.

yeah i believe they are decrypted and i think 8900decryptor is what you need. but even so, i cant figure out how to get the img2 read but PS or anything. :\ I'd like to know how to do this as well.

Hi, I was checking this out today, and I too believe logo.img2 is the image we want to change.

I also believe it is encrypted with 8900 encryption (or whatever), on top of that apple has done something to the pngfiles, so they cant be viewed normaly, you have to change the header file.

Unfortunatly I have some problems compiling the software needed, but maybe you guys have some luck.

anyways, here are some links that should help you on the way:

I've been able to decrypt them, but still haven't figured out a way to open up the decrypted img2 file. Paint/Preview/Photoshop/Win Pic+Fax Viewer have all failed. Any way to convert img2 to a readable format? :(
