[Bootneuter] Can we disable it ?

You know how it is, idiot friends who think it's funny to press things...
I suppose we could just delete it... But surely it's easier to make the user require a password that everyone knows. Then nothing could happen by accident...

you can just use the "poof" app and hide it :)

I was definitely thinking the same thing. The last thing I need on my phone is an app that could potentially brick my phone if misused.

By the way, I was thinking, if there are apps that can add on to the settings page, and it's possible to edit and hide certain applications ala Firmware 2.0, can't someone tack on to settings the option to hide certain 3rd party applications and ask for a password to make them visible again? Even Installer.app just left on a home screen seems pretty risky for me if others get their hands on my phone.

I was thinking more that if you are on 1.1.4 it will uninstall itself after it flashes the baseband and then if you want to use it you would have to install it through Installer.

This can be done easily in 2.0... Just need to edit the parental controls plist. You can even add your own icon! (They're 29x29 pngs).

To hide the icon couldnt we simply move the icon out of the bootneuter.app to a diff folder when using winscp etc and move it back if we wat to see it?

That's what I did since I'm not running 2.0

You can also use the Poof app to hide the icon.

Is it safe to simple log on via AFP and delte the bootneuter app?
