I give props to the Dev team for all the great work they have done with the iPhone platform, but has anyone questioned if Pwned is ready and can perform what it claims to? The only reason I ask is due to the delay in the release. If the Mac version is working as we seen in the video why not release it to the world? Why wait till a windows version is created? I can understand if Apple is going to take legal action against them if the allow it to get out to the public but if that is the case then just say so and stop all the rumors going around and the craze of all these Iphone owners waiting for it. Make all your work open source and post what you have now so if there is a possibility to make it work we (Software Developers) can help get it done. Like the movie Antitrust "your either a 1 or a 0" Let all us consumers be the 1 and Apple be the 0! We pay $400 for a phone that we should have the right to decide how it should work for us weather its a program or firmware.

Well I believe they had to do other things apart from code a windows version - e.g. replace copyrighted logos etc though surely modifying a official ispw file is as illegal as posessing a beta version?

Im still not sure, how certain are you that it will be released tomorrow, just because he is a mod does not mean he is a member of the dev team and he may just be speculating a date. However i seriously hope not.

True indeed but since this is the "home of the dev team" I would like to think the mods talk to the team and dont release bulshit info :D

I hope the mods speak to the team also, saying that i haven't seen Number_41 around the board for the past two days maybe he knows some info on the release of pwned

Do we already know what it does, are you saying we wont get the software we will just know definitely what it does to the phone.
Everyone already knows what its supposed to do from the video that the Dev team posted. As far as saying tomorrow I kinda have to laugh cause who knows what tomorrow is for most of us that are scattered around the world. Your 7 hours ahead of me which technically means tomorrow can be today for me..lol

yes, modifying an ipsw is illegal, but then they are not releasing a modified ipsw.
if releasing tools for ipsw is illegal then all hex editors will be illegal

Zi has posted pics on his website the he has got Ziphone to unlock and activate 2.0. Funny thing is he wont release it till the june release of 2.0 is released..lol. Makes you go hmmm.

Yeah, the "how ?" of those screenshots is still doubtful (dual boot ? full fake ? :) part of the pwn version he stole from the team svn before being shown the door ? :eek:), but the "why ?" is very clear, it'll just give him an excuse to merge any code that'll be released later into Zicrap and claim he got the idea previously, like he did with the ramdisk exploit, wifi fix and such :D (and being the crazy sociopath he is I guess he ends up believing his own bullshits which doesn't help)
His excuse for not releasing is pretty lame, I guess we would have noticed if he had any consideration for a proper release plan in the past (JerrySIM leak, unsigned ramdisk method leak, ...)
