Hey everyone,
I would like to introduce you to iStudy - your complete iPhone hacking and modding guide.
iStudy features 3 sections:
- Vocabulary: This section contains in depth info on terminology and words used during iPhone modding
- Useful Information: This section contains handy little facts, like how to SSH into your iPhone, how to fix the cookies not saving issue on 1.1.4 and how to reverse Geohots IPSFtool and the real iPhone SIM Free.
- Jailbreaking, Activating and Unlocking: Here we have in depth info on how to jailbreak/activate/unlock every firmware version out there, from 1.0.0 to 1.1.4. This also contains how to do geohots IPSF style unlock on the 3.9BL.
And at the end, there is the worlds first guide for iLiberty+/iLibertyX!!!
To download it, go to http://www.appledailytimes.com/downloads/iStudy.pdf and click on the iStudy link. It is also available in German at http://www.appledailytimes.com/downloads/iStudy.pdf.

Very well formatted and easy to follow. I don't really get the name iStudy, though, isn't there a flash card app called something like that? Well, the name isn't that important anyway, great job. :)

hey thanks for your feedback everyone
thecompkid, about the name: to study something is to learn something, and this guide makes u learn things :) lol different people interpret things differently
As for there being a native app called istudy,
I didn't know :P but these are totally different things. One is a native app for flashcards and one is a PDF guide for your computer. And the name isn't trademarked, which is allways a bonus ;)

Thanks!
Used the method on my friends iPhone. But his battery drain is much more than mine. I used ZiPhone. The I had to restore his phone and use ZiPhone. And battery life improved significantly.
Pls check on the problem.

hey
Whar firmware is he on? Did he use iliberty? That battery drain problem is a big in iliberty or whatever u used to jailbreak the phone. Maybe it was a faulty restore. I didn't write the software, only the guide, so I can't help you with that one :(
Thousands of people have used iliberty without problems, so I'd say it was just a faulty restore. I have nothing against ziphone, maybe that did fix the problem :) in fact, I have used ziphone Many more times than any other tool for 1.1.3/1.1.4.
Anyway I'll check your issue out and I'll see what I can do

Hey,
Sorry, I forgot to mention that the following packages have been merged into one:
-AppStore iCon for installer
-Rename installer to AppStore
-2.0 iTunes and Calculator icons
The new package is called "Visualize 2.0" which can be found in the same repo (appledailytimes.com/installer)

sorry i think you misunderstood me. there is no installer.app as far as i can see. only an itunes icon
should i restore and try using iliberty again. maybe i shouldnt of clicked to downgrade bootloader to 3.9 but i thought i should because i restored to 1.1.4 on itunes once before.
thanks for your 1st reply but it went clean over my head

Excellent guide man!!
Too bad there are no more new iPhones to activate :(
You said in ZiPhone:
"The main holdback on ZiPhone now days is the fact that it downgrades the 4.6BL to 3.9 original, unlike iPlus, which is not currently reversible."
But, the BootNeuter don't do that?
And very good work... :D

yeah, sorry, this guide was made before pwnage an bootneuter. I plan on making a dedicated guide to PwnageTool, WinPwn and BootNeuter, but adobe have temporarily stopped trial downloads so I can not make them at this time :(

Hey
sorry about that, my sites been changed a lot since i wrote that guide about 4 months ago. I'll put a direct link to it at the bottom of this reply and in the original post.
Hope you like it! There are bits of it that dont apply now (iLiberty and ZiPhone) as that has been replaced by pwnage. I might rewrite it, but since pwnage is so easy to use I don't see much point atm. The vocab section at the start is very good for a beginner, though.
