Unlocked Iphone, can't get it to go to a website.. help

Hi, I just unlocked my IPHONE...I can use the phone, moved pics and songs to phone, but don't know how to get to the internet with the phone....would really appreciate any help, this old Navy guy could sure use help in getting this ipone to the web....thanks for any help....John,usn,retired

So when you click on Safari what happens?

What network are you on and do you have the "E" (Edge) logo displayed in the status bar?

you have to connect to wireless network or configure EDGE settings! u can do the Settings!

Ok try this, go to Settings/General/Reset/Reset Network Settings

Depending on the Network this is done automatically

What sim are you going to be using? Use the one you are going to use.

Will put the sim from my Blackberry, it allowed me to make and receive calls on the iphone.......thanks...John

Is your AT&T sim fully activated, not sure about the States but some countries you have to activate the "internet" part separate.

It seems like you are going to have to configure the setting manually

You probably have Blackberry Connect, which does not work on the iPhone.

Even if you were using ATT, if the sim comes from a Blackberry with internet (Blackberry connect) the Edge network is not activated, only Blackberry Connect, and the iPhone will not connect to the internet. It only works with Medianet or PDA connect.

Thats how it works on ATT, not sure about your network.
