Attention, that one is for OS X v10.4. The SDK requires OS X v10.5, which will not run on VMWare.

Use your favourite torrent site, and search for "osx86 leopard"
The results will most often be leopard related.
Although, as far as 10.5.2 (?) goes, I don't think the OSX86 has a "final" release on that. Better go to your favourite apple store and steal a computer :)
Or better yet, Craigs list.
Intel based computers are hard to get, for a low price.
best of luck. In the mean time, learn cocoa=)

I don't think it's possible, been searching to.
Already tried, and couldn't get it to install.
I'm about to install leopard on a second hd by following the guide provided by coolestrl.
And this way, it also should be funnier to work with
I will post the result.

cosmoLV > The topic of this thread is to inform people that they can use a Hackint0sh PC to use the iPhone SDK.
You can go and post your problem in the Hackint0sh section.
Thanks for your understanding.

I'm gonna use this tutorial on installing leopard on a PC: wildwobby tutorial (http://wildwobby.com/hardware/build-a-mac-for-350/) Seems pretty straightforward if anyone else wants to give it a try. I can't beleive I HAVE to own a mac to develop for iPhone :(. If I had money to make the switch I would have a long time ago but I can't at this point. Hopefully this will work on my current setup. I have a Dell Dimension 8300 heavily upgraded.

I use the zephyroth 10.5.2 on my amd it works fine for se3 chips only.
You can find the ISO around the torrent sites.
This is the site with some help, fixes for problems.
osx86.wikidot.com
Look under how to and known issues.
I have it running on a software raid, its a bit faster.
Its pretty stable a few crashes here and there.
Will only get better with new releases.
Good luck

I've been running OSX86 since leopard came out. I tried osx on PC back at os 10 but it was aweful where drivers were concerned so I gave up and hadnt looked back at it till leopard came out, and let me tell you, I ONLY boot into xp to play games. I had vista installed and uninstalled it and went back to xp. I use parallels desktop to run xp as a virtual machine from within leopard, but you cant game that way, you have to boot natively into xp.
I have used ziphone etc from my mac, independence etc. It is worlds ahead of windows. I am downloading the sdk now.
Anyhow, enough bout me,

I would like to remind you that you can't install leopard with the 10.5.1 KALYWAY DVD on VMware.
"NOTE: iPhone SDK will run on Intel-based Macs running Mac OS X v10.5.2 and later.." from Apple's iPhone SDK readme
The older 10.4.x tiger patched DVD's by JaS used to work on VMware without a hitch.
JaS is coming back to OSX86 scene with a JaS 10.5.2 release... you can try helping him by beta testing his release here (http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=33463).

Are there any of the hackintosh builds that can install to a usb drive instead of the main drive? My 3 yr olds pc has compatible hardware, but he would completely freak out if he couldn't get into his Dora and Wiggles games.

As long as your computer can boot from USB and gives you the option to boot from a USB drive, sure

Hi guys...
finally I achieved to install Kalyway Leo 10.5.1 on my P4 3ghz, mb P4P800-E..and run it! Unchecked Vanilla and all other stuff was the only way for me. But... :-( when I install SDK and reboot... it loop back again resetting PC.
I wander if there are files in SDK that aren't "patched" ? Do I solve reinstalling Leopard over SdK installation, or I have to wipe everithing and start a new OSX and give up with SDK ? Thanks for any help....
***solved**** reinstalling withouth SDK tools, thanks

If anyone else has this issue...just uncheck the second option in the installer, which are the CHUD tools...this breaks your install.
I read that on another board ... I will try this evening.
EDIT:
Somone says me to reboot with -s -v to fix permissions.

Using 10.5.1 when I try to build&go to my iphone I get
"Codesign error: unsupported architecture "armv6". Please upgrade to Mac OS X 10.5.2 or later."
it compiles and runs fine on the Aspen simulator though.

XianLi, do you know how to get past the still waiting for root device, Kernel Panic before getting to the Installer GUI on Kalyway 10.5.1? I posted on Insanelymac and here too I think but no one is replying.
The link for the insanelymac on is here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=93750
It has more info and specs etc.

you must boot in verbose mode and change the ACPI switch (all done in the bootloader options)

What do you mean? I have very limited BIOS options if that is wha you are saying. I have PheonixBIOS Ver1.50. It only allows for a few options to be changed.
