Thread renamed and moved to the right section.

Answer: no it doesn't simply because it is a special Xcode version and it runs only on Leopard (Mac OS 10.5)

I was dissapointed to find this out too. But there is one option for us non-mac owners- you can run Mac OSX in VMWare on top of windows: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Vmware_how_to

You could pick up a 2nd hand Aluminium model iMac for pretty cheap. Awesome machines. I got a Mac as my "secondary" computer next to Win XP. It wasn't long before OSX become my primary.

ramb0 : when you say pretty cheap, how much are you talking? I see mac mini's on craigslist for $450.

And this may be a stupid question, but is there any chance in hell that the SDK would run through Leopard running via VMWare?

It's going to lag. AS HELL! (Running a 64bit processor that is)

Although, running vista x86/xp x86 - you'll be just fine running it in VmWare.

However, for finger gestures and so, what is the command key?

I doubt it's the windows button.

- spending $100 on a keyboard is a little bit overkill for me!

When you create a program, how do you transfer the program to iPhone?
Is it possible to use the SDK to write a program on one machine, but use a different machine to transfer it to the iPhone? Reason being I have VMWare Server on one machine (which does not support USB) so I was thinking of using it running OSX to create iPhone programs and then transferring them via iTunes or whatever is required on a completely different machine.

As far as I know, no one has been able to get Leopard (required for the SDK) running well in VMWare.
