What makes you think about this ?
I see a good place to talk about developing apps instead.
People will be able to share their knowledge and help/support in their projects.

I knew it was only on leopard, I'm gonna boot into leopard now and get the SDK, I'll tell you how it goes. What you can do is look for the Darwin leopard image so you can run leopard on a regular PC.

So you can't run the SDK on vista?

Don't pay $100. The SDK itself is free. Here's a link to the thing: http://developer.apple.com/iphone/download.action?path=/iphone/iphone_sdk/iphone_sdk.dmg
It's 2GB, so it might take a while ^_^

I know that, but I want 2.0 update aswell, so that we can start jailbreaking it. ;)

Seems like the whole SDK concept gets around that, though. You should be able to mess about with the file system through the SDK, and someone can just write up an App to install the Installer through the SDK. That shouldn't need us to do anything hack-ish and won't be firmware-dependent.

would it possible to extract 2.0.0 beta from there and distribute it as a standalone package? without paying $100 of course

I'm sure you will see it for download very very soon. Someone will just release it in to the public domain.

2GB :O i think i got only 2.5gb left on my hackint0sh partition!!
if we want to test apps on iPhone , not the emulator, then there should be an option to first upgrade the iphone to 2.0 then test...

You'd better hook up an external drive, then. You'll need 2Gb to download the DMG and probably another 2-3GB free to install it.

the leopard installation is on the external HD itself :P will download it on xp and mount the DMG in leopard.

Well at least you have a fully working hackint0sh.
I cant get my ethernet to work. Its the intel 82566DC. I read in a lot of forums that this one doesnt have nay kext.
If only i could get it to work id be really happy. Cause it really sucks using your pc without internet.

uhum .. And this is related to the SDK ?
Well, it seems the apple-site is overloaded, their authentication server does not even answer at all anymore to me.
However, the torrent that is being spread should be dl'ed soon. I will inform if it is real.
Cheers,

What do you think???
If the SDK can only run on MAC OSX, those who dont have a mac need a hackint0sh.
Sometimes is good to think you know?Doesnt hurt.

read here (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=85795&hl=usb+ethernet), if you have a DSL router then connect it to pc via usb, not ethernet and install the drivers in mentioned thread to get internet working..
btw, i was downloading the sdk, everytime my ipaddress changes it results in a 404 not found error from apple servers and i have to start it from beginning again. anyone else having this problem?? i was using IDM to download, currently started leeching on torrents [:p]
