Hello Forum,

This is a bit of a unusual question, but I'm sure someone here can help me out.
A friend of mine, who's a musician, would like to have his album for download on the itunes store (for free).
Is there a way, without going to one of those "publisher" companies to get the music into the itunes store?

Any help or advice greatly appreciated,
tom

There are few ways to get on iTunes without being backed by a indie/major label. What we did was go with CD Baby (http://www.cdbaby.com) and they've been phenomenal. They help you with digital AND physical sales as well. You need a UPC in order to sell your music on iTunes. Setup is one-time $35, then $20 for a UPC or get one through the company that reps/dups your discs, but it's still $20-50. You cannot go wrong with CD Baby. Seriously check them out.
