Hey all. I'm very new to the whole Mac OS X x86/Hackintosh deal. Okay, I actually just started today. I've got a (mostly) working install of 10.4.1 from ye olde Deadmoo image like every other newb out there, but I'm wondering how I can get from here to the newest version (10.4.6?). Both what files I need and how to use them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated... looks like you guys have an awesome site here.

I would like to recommend you the "HOTISO 10.4.6 DVD" (i think in reality this DVD image have been made by Jas, thanks to him), there is two other excellent versions : "Jas 10.4.6" and the very last "Jas 10.4.7".

All that i have cited above are .iso images except the last Jas 10.4.7 which i think needs the osx program "Toast 7.1" for burning it.

All are far better than the deadmoo image, cause they are bootable DVDs that can be installed like any other operating system.

To get it, it seems that lot of people use Torrent, but i heard that evrything can be found thanks to eMule (or aMule for Mac/Linux/Win32).

Last note : i suggest you to read carefully all the forums related to osx86, like http://forum.insanelymac.com/ (they have a very great wiki wich is a must-read) and this forum, before installing anything, cause there are hardware/booting problems that can't be resolved without some documenting effort.

EDIT: in particular the HOTISO DVD have the "B0 error" search for that in the insanelymac forum, or just ask here.

HOTISO = JaS 10.4.6 renamed. Thus better get the original even if the iso is not compressed. there is another 4.6 iso by goatsecx = JaS + extra packages.

Thanks, my doubts are confirmed concerning HOTISO. They don't even give credits to Jas in their .nfo! damned! :(
