I have a spare TurboSIM and I have an idea of how to get rid of it - Let's make it a donation auction :)

The money obtained from the auction will ALL be donated to the Dev Team. The person who win the auction will have lifetime support from the Dev Team and the gurus in this forum. What do you think guys?

If everyone is happy with the idea, I will put up the auction soon. Watch this space :)

Seeing as how Pete's started things in USD, I'll continue to save converting currencies etc.

Sorry to ask this here but why is everyone around paying more then $100 for a Turbo Sim when a Super Sim is like $20 and essentially does the same function of unlocking the iPhone? Is there a difference between the 2?

supersim you need to have a v1 sim and extract Ki which is illegal in some countries. turbosim you have no such problems. that's why the cost is higher

SuperSIM is basically cloning your existing v1 SIM. With a Turbo SIM you piggy back any v1,v2,v3 SIM and it tricks the phone into thinking it is an ATT SIM. I have a newer Swisscom SIM so it surely isn't v1 so I have no other choice.

Thanks so Im assuming, generally all older generation networks might very well still be using a v1 SIM. Also, if thats the case - Instead of buying a SuperSim, can't we just get a cheap prepaid sim from the network and just clone it with the current and ATT sim so it works. Or the network SIM's cant be cloned on/erased?

You can't change the ATT SIM... ;)

You'll need to search the threads here for using a Silver Card and programmer or Super SIM. No other way I am afraid. In Switzerland v1 cards ended in 2004 from what I understand.

its highly unlikey that any network will now be issuing v1 sims, in the UK v1 sims stopped a good while back, the only v1 sims i have are from orange which i got way back before 2000!!

Well depends on what you understand as unlimited support :D
Sure I would vonounteer to give a helping hand with the TurboSIM as best I know but I hardly can give live long advises on how to attach a cable or something. ;)
Another question, who supplies the TurboSim for the auction?
