Need Help : Restoring...

Hello

i've successfully activated my iphone with dvd jon's method when it came out (using a pc) but i forgot to save the original itunes.exe.

I also have an old powerbook in which i could restore my iphone but it will automatically upgrade my iphone with the new software version, should i go for it?

Is that new software version 1.1 isn't compatible with iasign?jailbreak etc....

i upgraded to v1.0.1, and jailbreak, iasign all worked fine... go for it.

also, just re-install itunes again to overwrite the modified itunes.exe...and restore the orginal host file.

thanks for your help, overwriting itunes will keep my data on it? or should i save it before? (and how? lol)
