View Full Version : Have I Bricked it!? Help!

Hi all, was in the process of Jailbreak/Activation and am now getting "Failure Error connecting to AFC Service"
Then when trying to connect with iTunes I get " iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because an unknown error occured (0xE8000022)"

Feeling scared and alone! Please help!! :(

Its amazing how many threads pop up with this HELP HELP I think I BRICKED it!!!!

First off calm down. Second off, restore it. Read the FAQs on Apples website and here. You can hold hold and sleep for 25seconds, connect it to iTunes and it will force a full factory restore of it. If that dont work, try it from a different computer, many have made it work, there is absolutely no reason why you cant restore it.

Will the restore also put the Root-Password back to default?

That's what I screwed yesterday (thanks to the little script in one of the install descriptions :mad: )

Again it will put the phone back in its factory fresh condition. That means the entire firmware is reloaded.

As far as I know, restoring via iTunes will force you to accept Apple's firmware update 1.0.1. Is iASign still working after this?

Currently all the tools work if you Jailbreak the phone using the 1.00 firmwre.
