There is a lot of redundant/same questions/duplicate threads/posts that make sections look like a mess.
First important steps
- Read Stickies and Use the search before creating a thread.
- There is a big chance that your problem has been discussed and solved.
Create your threads in the right sections:
You have a problem with a 3rd party Application, create the thread in "Native Software" section.
You have a question about an AppStore Application, create the thread in "AppStore" section.
You have a question about Unlocking, create the thread in "Software Unlock" section.
You have a question about Pwning, create the thread in "PwnageTool" section.
You have a problem with a Software in your computer that will connect to your iPhone-iTouch, create the thread in the "Tool" section.
You dropped your phone in [Add here what you like], use the "Hardware" section
Once you know that you can create your thread.
To make the Title, please follow the following template:
[Firmware version][kind] the short description of the problem faced
For example, these threads go into PwnageTool section:
[1.1.4][PwnageTool] v1.1 > Can't restore Custom Firmware
[1.1.4][WinPwn] How to change the boot logo ?
[1.1.4][Bootneuter] How to check the Bootloader version ?
These threads go into Tools section:
[2.0][iTunes] v7.7 > Error while syncing
[1.1.4][SSH] How to connect to my phone ?
[1.1.4][RingTones] How to add them in my phone ?
These threads go into Native Software section (all the official AppStore apps must go in AppStore section):
[1.1.4][Installer] v3.1.1 > Can't refresh sources
[1.1.4][LocateMe] Can't find my location
These threads go into Software Unlock section:
[1.1.4][iLiberty+] Can't refresh sources
[2.0][iDemocracy] Can i use it to Jailbreak ?
These threads go into Hardware section (you don't need to precise which firmware in the title):
[Buttons] Home doesn't work
[Unexpected Event] I forgot my phone on my car's roof
For the [Kind] you can choose:
- Application's name
- Advice
- Tricks
- HowTo
- Solution
- Rumor
- Not confirmed (scam/spam)
- Confirmed (spam/scam)
- Warning
and so more... but don't add special characters.
When a problem is solved, the moderators will add a [Solved] marker to your thread's title.
So if you are looking for a solution, use [Solved] + the name of the app or issue you are encountering.
Once you know how the forum works, information is very easy to find > use the "New Posts" top menu to search with the Forum's Built-in Google search field.
Every new threads with title like "Is my phone bricked !!!?", "questions", "i'm new here", "help !!", "i'm gonna cry", "noob questions" , "WTF is going wrong", "somebody please !!!!!", "i'll pay for help", etc etc... will simply be deleted.
Don't forget, a well chosen title will attract more readers than the above mentioned titles.
This will also let us spend more time on essential things and help to improve the visibility of this community.
And finally, do not ask/post links to piracy/warez/cracks, Hackint0sh doesn't condone this.
Thanks for your understanding and enjoy your stay here. :)
