Hi guys. My first post. Thanks to a lot of people and thanks for the great attitude.
Just had a black Stealthsim for an 1.1.2 OTB 4.6 BL. Following instructions "as simple as pie" cut then insert, well NOT SO SIMPLE solution. THe common NO SIM display came up. I tried about anything, actually 122 times.
Its supposed to be an "alignment problem" according to their website, but hell, I even aligned it backwards after 6 hours of despair .
At the end, I read somewhere in this forum or the Hardware forum about a possible solution. It took a lot of reading before gettin to it, so I thought a direct post would help people for a fast search.
The solution I used was to put tape, (in my case 3M Nexcare Micropore bandage 2 layers), very thin tape, in the iphone tray, insert the sim+stealth and it worked . Mind you, I tried 6 hours of everything, about 5 different Sims, and much more.
Signal was weak initially but overnight it got to 4 bars. Does anybody have a clue as to why?
Maybe this post should be at the Hardware forum, but a lot of people come to this one for solutions.
