Why is it that nobody makes an executable available for iPHUC? It seems strange that the only way to run the software is to have Xcode, SVN, macports, etc. installed?

iPhuc is more of a "by-product" of the unlock development.
I suppose the Dev Team still has the unlock as a primary goal. Once the unlock is achieved, they (and others) will have more time on their hands to take care of helpful iPhone utilities, software, etc.

I know it is a pain in the a.. to use iPhuc and other interesting stuff with the iPhone but I suppose for the time being, this is the only way.

Yeah, I see that, and I agree that unlocking is the mos important, what I don't understad is why somebody that have iPHUC working doesn't post the binary so other people doesn't have to install all the utils and do the compiling...

Yes, PLEASE, I wont be buying a developer license until 10.5 comes out and I get a new Mac. If someone could post the binary, I'd greatly appreciate it.

You don't need a dev license, the developer tools come with the OS for free.

That said, I had a hell of a time getting iPhuc to build on my MBP (so I feel your pain)... so here is the intel binary: http://yourweatherforecast.com/iPHUC.zip

Hope that helps.

This is so great! Could you also post /opt/local/lib/libreadline.5.2.dylib? I need that too, I think. We can make a complete package for others to download if I can make it work with only a few files... All you have to do is supply the files I need :-)
