I'm trying to revirginize my 1.0.2 to get it updated to 1.1.1 but when I try and activate the phone through INdependence I get an 'error entering recovery mode'.

Do I need to revirgnize?

Can I update to 1.1.1 then jailbreak and unlock again? Won't it just whip away the old baseband?
