works great. I just had to restore my iPhone and this saved me some time reinstalling the binkit

If you have ssh up and running, just scp it to your phone with:

scp -rp Installer.app root@192.168.xxx.xxx://Applications (your IP for the xxx's)


restart the phone and launch it.

Hey,

Hope someone can help me.

I cant find any guide how to get this installer.app to my iphone ( and use it after that).

I downloaded the file which cant be opened on my Mac but its lying on the dektop right now.

I tried to get in on my iphone by using ifuntastic and drag it to the applications which did not work ( ifuntustic doesnt support that).

So i read i have to use iPUC instead which seams to be very hard to use.

Hope someone can help me.

use jailbreak and iphoneinterface, and it's uncanny "putfile" command.

Either that or grab one of the graphical filesystdm browsers depending on your OS.

Tested ab bit but it seems to be coincidence which apps are being placed at the screen.

(installed launcher too to see the rest of the apps).

also Doom doesnt run, there are 3 pictures which are shown but happens.
VRecord is still the old version, there should be a new one, hope they gone update this soon.

Installed sth called "BSD Subsystem" and cant remove it, whats that ??

Nes.app doesnt include any games

Community Sources doesnt appear after installed ( ?????)

guys, i installed installer.app but nothing shows up... it comes on, looks like it should be loading the software list, but then it just quits and goes back to the home screen... any idea what may be going on?

I know for a fact that I have wrong permissions on most of the binkit files, which is one of the things I plan on re-installing with installer... is installer by any chance dependent on the binkit files? (since i used windows to copy the binkit, it lost permissions...)


EDIT: fixed the above, I had wrong permissions on the files... but now I'm unable to install the BSD subsystem, it hangs after completing downloading... i wonder if it is just real slow or whats up....

Also, who is the developer of the installer, and is it possible to contact him? I wanted to suggest for him to make the "Description" area of the installer package screen bigger, as I can only see like 3 or 4 words...

I also consistently had problems attempting to install the updated BSD Subsystem package. I finally got fed up and downloaded the package onto my Mac and SCPing the files up.

I guess because of the size of the package it hangs a little in the end of the download... it finally did install...

one question, is there an SSH gui client with openssh, or only accessible from the Terminal? (which is fine, I just want to know)...

Also, it would be cool to have a screen where we can decide whether specific apps show up on Launcher or if they show up on the springboard, and the option of adding "several Launchers (i.e. folders)" with different names...

(I know I can do all of this editing the PLists, but GUI would be oh, so easy lol...

Does this thing ever update the available packages? There's quite a few apps that aren't available here.
