View Full Version : Apple stocks plunged
Apple inc. stocks plunged more that 35% this month. And here is todays news from Bloomberg:
"Then it was reported that AT&T Inc. stores got stuck with too many Apple iPhones that aren't selling so well."
It seems apple has problems with selling 1.1.2OTB iPhones.
But maybe it is a good news, maybe somehow we will see software unlock of 1.1.2OTB very soon. That would help Apple stocks very much.

The problem with Apple is that when they reported 4 million phones sold so far last week, they were talking about units shipped and not units sold. I kinda get the feeling that without a software unlock for 1.1.2 OTB, sales were not as brisk as the days of 1.1.1. I remember when Apple announced 1.1.2 and almost immediately 1.1.1 became hard to find in stores (unless you went to some AT&T store in the boonies). Now with 1.1.3 announced 10 days ago, 1.1.2 phones are still readily available at Apple stores. Sales have certainly slowed a bit.

It's not a Apple only thing. The whole market has plunged. Look at google, yahoo etc.

TwistyValhalla is right. The market has just been crappy. On the other hand when it was easy to unlock iPhones, I remeber wholesalers in NYC were hiring 3rd parties to acquire on average 50 - 200 pieces of iphones per day.

Altough i live in Poland I'm raeding about subprime almost every day. And about NINJA loans :) (no job no income no assets).
But look, Nasdaq is about 15% down this year, while Apple inc. -35%! So subprime is not a main reason of Apple plunge. I think one of the reason is simlock in 112otb.

Subprime or no subprime, Apple is not moving as many units as they hope to. See these links:
