[1.1.3] Unofficial Jailbreak, I Say Do Not Update

Hey everybody, just wanted to share my opinion on NateTrue's 1.1.3 jailbreak. I believe that no one should run this jailbreak. When I first read about the jailbreak, I was clicking links like a wild man without reading anything till I got to the point where I needed to just click a button to get to 1.1.3 from my 1.1.1 unlocked/jailbroke. However, I changed my mine to install it in the last second when I read about how NateTrue did leaked this jailbreak against the Dev team's permission. I cannot find one thing positive about this pre-release jailbreak. Let me just list some cons:

1. ILLEGAL AGAINST FEDERAL LAWS (I guess some of you don't care though)
2. NOT OFFICIAL (This is not an official Dev team release!!!)
3. You are not even getting the full update!!! Some of you may not even get some of the biggest features of this update including:

No current location (without further tampering)
No Hybrid view
And many, MANY, other problems arise, i.e. passwords.

4. Come on people, even the full 1.1.3 does not have much more then 1.1.1/2...You can still rearrange icons and have current location, so what if the icons do not wiggle or the feature is not built into the map app, who cares!!!
5. YOU, YES YOU CAN WAIT... I mean even NerveGas said the official 1.1.3 jailbreak will be out VERY soon, which would be full featured, easier, and legal (I would think)

There are many other things but I believe those are five strong points of why you should not do this UNOFFICIAL jailbreak right now. I don't know this is my two-cents on this topic and heck it may not even matter come tomorrow if the official release was to come out, but for all those until then I hope you can just consider some of my points. Nobody that I know has a full working 1.1.3 Jailbreak using NateTrue's edition, maybe I'm wrong, post about what you think in the mean time.

I was 100% going to, but thinking i might hold off now. I want it for the features, but i'm not sure if it's even safe as I have a 1.1.2 ootb with xsim, and afraid if I screw up I won't be able to undo.

I love how you declare things OFFICIAL and UNOFFICIAL. You convinced me, I'm not going to update until I get the OFFICIAL jailbreak from Apple... wait ... I meant the OFFICIAL jailbreak from the designated Hackers.... wait...

Are you high ? Since when ANY of this hacking was official ? Your post sounds like you're in some sort of DEV religion.

By the way, I'm staying with 1.1.2 for the moment, I'll let the unpatient sort out all the bugs they can find and then make my decision...

I could have got a new AT&T contract. Probably will be staying with ATT for more than 2 years. T Mobile service sucks at my home and business. But I didn't. Why? Because I want to use all the wonderful third party apps.They do all the hard work and we get the fruit and say thank you by donating.Will wait for Dev/Elite jailbreak.

Besides who is Nate True? For all I know he betrayed his own team and leaked information.Cannot trust a guy who has a reputation like that.

Since the only hacker who made the jaibreak public was kicked outta team, why donate? Others preferred to play 2.0.4 NES themselves.

1. No current location - WRONG!! It works for me after installing Navizon and locatin... it works now through Cell towers without a problem
2. No Hybrid view - Don't know where you got that from. It works for me!
3. Many, many other problems - Haven't found any. Edge works, youtube works

That was a beautiful release. Well done Nate. Just like Geo did first time.

I am not sure what are you trying to say by OFFICIAL or UNOFFICIAL though any crack is of-cource unofficial, any how i did the upgrade with Nate's method and everything is working like a charm and how Steve showed in the mac world conference (drop pin, hybrid view, sms to multiple people and having multiple home page etc...) .

Legal? ha ha. The Dev Team is not "legally" authorized by apple to jailbreak and unlock iPhones so dont kid yourself. This petty fighting between NateTrue and the Dev Team is just stupid and hurts us supporters. So far, I'd say i like NateTrue's method and whoever fixes the DRM issue with his jailbreak will really have the upper hand in bragging rights.
