have you already got the A1 sim?
I have a old klax.max prepaid card still in use but it is not possible to get the Ki out of that card. I bought it in August 99. I also contacted the people at t-mobile if it´s possible to send me the Ki key, but they denied. So I called A1 Business Hotline. First I asked if it´s possible to send me the Ki. I added that I would change the network if they would ;) The Lady said sorry, not possible. I then asked if they still have some V1 cards around. She checked and said yes. I have now been at the local A1 Shop so they can order it for me. Let´s see if we get the phone working in austria :D
Hope to hear soon from you guys.

hi pppihdl,
how´s it going with the old A1 simcards? Did you get them from A1 or somebody else? The poor mom; hope that she didn´t lost her patience while you are sitting the whole night in front of your PC trying to get the Ki :D

I tried with a telering Sim. No chance to get the KI out. Year 2003. I think they are V2 cards.
Maybe a chance to get the ki out of an old A1 sim - should be possible. Is the oldest provirder in Austria.
pppihdl: Please post if you have further experience with your A1 cards

I found my first simcard by A1, must be over 10 years old.
I extracted the ki in about half an hour, no problem.
now i need the silvercard, where in EU or better in Austria can i order one?
my cardreader/writer is a masterCRD, i usually write Sat-Cards with it, but seems to work with phone sims.
a friend of mine will pass by this evening, will try to extract his Ki from a Telering card.
will keep u up-to-date.
greetings from the nice Salzkammergut.

Hi iSheep,
that´s really great news!
pppihdl has posted a link on another thread: http://www.dworld.at/contents/de/d59.html
Piccard2 for 9,90€
I have ordered two at http://www.srt-versand.de
search for silver and you find it for 7,90€. You have to order at least 15€. Shipping is 3,90€.
I hope I get a V1 A1 simcard in the upcoming week where I can extract all the necessary information.

you mean the 10 year old sim is not activ anymore? I´m not sure if you can reactivate a simcard that has already been deactivated.
I told them that I need it for an old carphone which can only handle sim cards with 5V and not 3.3V. I also told the lady at the shop that the hotline sent me to a shop. She couldn´t unterstand that because the lady at the hotline could have done the same thing for me, write the guys who send out the welcome-package an email to include a V1 simcard. The shop was crouded so she was very busy.

I got a couple of old A1 cards - even found one of my first A1 cards (hint: on the back of the A1 sim cards there is a number starting with A55 - the next two numbers are telling you in which year the card has been issued e.g. A55 03044 .... means that this card has been manufactored in the year 2003). My oldest card ist from 1997 BUT I have not been lucky in using my reader/writer (dynamite plus usb) in conjunction with woronscan or simeasy. I do not get a connection! So since now I have not been able to bruteforce the ki!
Any help in this case is appreciated!
Well, A1 is helping you to get an old card (Autotelefon trick ;-) - I just called my key account from A1 and he was very helpfull in this case. I think even if the card has been deactivated they can activate it if you tell them the IMSI, ICCID and key - well, it's not standard procedure but they can do that for you!
I got a silver card from a sat shop in OÖ - unfortunately it was his last one! I also visited the sat shop in vienna in person (dworld) but they were not that helpfull - neither they have the silvercard in stock (but their webshop shows) nor they called me back as promised when they get new ones.
This is my status: everything in place (card reader/writer, silvercard, pretty old sim cards) but no success yet!
greetings from croatia (holiday) - mum is doing shopping right now :-) - daddy is playing with the laptop and his "cards" :-)

thanks for the hint.
I do not get a connection!
do you have the problem with all the simcards you have got? Have you put the cardreader in phoenix-mode with 3,579Mhz when using woronscan? Did you set the COM port right? Is the virtual Com port software correctly installed? Have you any other simcard around to test if you can connect with that one, using the same settings?

that´s bad if a shop is not keeping their homepage up-to-date.
my silvercards are getting here on tuesday via ups. :)

you can bet on that :D
I have already realized that the dynamite is only working in conjunction with a serial cable and my laptop doesn't have a serial port :( so this is a dead end for me!
I'll try to get a infinity usb unlimited anywhere around here - not that easy but worth to try! Anyone of you know an european online shop with express shipping? Computer in this "kaff" where I stay is still a "Fremdwort" :-D
Eine turbo schnelle Internet Verbindung (GPRS ... gääähn) zu € 10,- das mbit! Toll!
In the meantime I have ordered another beer! Cheers! :D

yes unfortunately it´s not active anymore, cause i went to telering some time ago and now back to A1.
the simcard shows A55 96... on its backside, so its 11 years old ;-)
i will call A1-Service-Line, to change my account to this card, if they are able to.
wish you a nice holiday, greetings to croatia.
i will also try my new sim, but i don´t think it´ll work, it´s a sim-plus from 2003.
or will I kill the newer card by extracting the KI ??

that´s nothing. i still have an old diax pronto simcard (switzerland) from around 2000 and it nearly took 2:30 hours until the whole Ki was extracted. to bad the sim expired.

I know such places where computer is also unknown. And expensiv data roaming. You are still lucky that you don´t need to dial up via modem ;)
I can´t wait until the A1 V1 simcard arrives.

I ordered Silverwafer cards at Berlin-Satshop.de. Really nice service - delivers in 2 days to Austria!
Do you think an old prepaid card of A1 would work?
Any experience with other providers (T-Mobile, telering, One)?

I think the SuperSim method is just the beginning. In Germany this method is not working yet - I think the TurboSim method seems to be a more optimistic approach for us all in Europe to get the brick free!

Depends on the age of the simcard. If it was sold before 99-2000 there is probably a chance. But you can try it out and report back ;)
I have tried with an old klax.max card from 1999 but it didn´t work out.

Yeah, german providers have pretty tight security on their simcards. I think you could make pretty much cash at the moment if you have an onlineshop like berlin-satshop.de. Distribution of the TurboSim in Europe with cheap and fast shipping .

everywhere the same

I should receive mine later this week. The age is not of interest. The only limitation is that you can save as many phonenumbers or Textmessages as on a V3 or V4 card. By the way, the guy at the business serviceline @ T-Mobile said that they are now using 4.x cards now.
zumindest weiss ich nicht woher... (Vorarlberg)
very difficult around here, you are right.

At the time when I was searching for silvercards in the net in Austria I have found an online shop that is located in Vorarlberg that sells these cards.
just google for sat, piccard2, pic2, silvercard, silverwafer or so in combination with sat. selected sat shops offer them. I also got mine from a sat shop.
as I have a very slow internet connection right now it would be a pain for me to do this for you! But I am sure you will find it.
I also told google to search sites in Austria and/or on german sites. You will find them for sure!
I think I will get my old/new sim card from A1 this week! I will keep you up to date on my progress - but it won't be before sunday (as I am on vacation till then!) Maybe I will be the first in Austria ;-)
Further I am very curios about the turbo sim method - no sign of proof until today!

somebody got to be first. Hope all works with the stuff we have ordered ;) My silvercard´s just arrived today from the german-shop. Now I´m just waiting for the iphone and the A1 simcard.

You will play for a week or so and then post that everything worked out for you. Be aware, Mum and the kids also want a iphone when they see you playing with yours. :D

Turbosim should work with all networks (A1, T-Mobile, One, Telering). I tested A1, T-Mobile and Telering - they are working with Turbosim - no possibility to test One. By the way: You don't have the chance to unlock V2/V3 cards with the Supersim method (llok other posts)!

Hi everybody,
I finally got 2 Sim Card which are V1 from A1. :D I just got it activated in the A1 shop in Bregenz. The woman was very confused and had to call A1 technical support to get the sim activated. It took about one and a half hour to get the bloody sim activated.
She first had to activate a new simcard, then replace the serial number with the V1 sim card and then the system finally said card activated.
Best regards
