[1.1.2 OTB] Unlock Guide (Short and Easy)

you shud hav 1.1.2 OTB
1=very first downgrade it to 1.1.1 and jailbreake with *#307#
2=OKTAPREP IT for 1.1.1
3=within installer install BSD SUBSYSTEM(otherwise it will hand on ienew) and Terminal application
4=use ibricker and create UNLOCK folder put new all file with secpack
5=turnon airplane mode
6=start TERMINAL within iphone and use following comands

cd /unlock
chmod +x ienew
chmod +x iunew

launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

./ienew


./iunew (tp needed i used simple TWEESER)


launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist


bbupdater -v <--this command may not work its normal no need to panic)



type exit

after this process you can`t see WIFI its NORMAL

and now shift+UPDATE (not restore) your phone to 1.1.2 since its already octaprepd now you can use JAILBREAK 1.1.2

after that unlock it using ANYSIM1.1.2U

you are having 1.1.2 fully unlocked with WI-FI fixed

Anyone brave enough to try it? I am personally going to wait. I am happy with my1.1.2 activate non-iphone o2 sim tariff. Don't want to turn working phone to abrick.

This is a hardware unlock. Note he said "(TP needed, I used simple TWEESERS)" , this means TESTPOINT needed... this is a hardware unlock!!!

I say this guy gets permanent ban for misleading people. There is a main H/W topic and there's nothing Short & Easy about It. With Hardware you gotta be as precise as possible on every aspect. All you've done is repost info from other sources without the need of Testpoint preparation procedure.

Can you get me one source which has given you this way?Infact all telling to restore to 1.1.1 agaian and again after loosing wifi and many people here having the CANT WRITE PROBLEM which accures due to wrong doing and in my guide they will not face this problem specially

question. i was one of the guys who lost wifi first time trying the HW unlock. now i got on 1.0.2 > jailbreak > activated. now i ran iunew with TP, and it gave me:
"did u flash the baseband?" (if i remember exactly)

i tried running ieraser again but it gave me:
waiting for data....
can't write....

any ideas?

IF I already have a 1.1.2 OTB Jailbroken can I just proceed to the step 3 of Y0ush4 guide r should I downgrade to 1.1.1 and jailbreak it and use steps 1 and 2 also...

It's a nice guide so some people should stop bashing the author for his effort.
The guide has very clear steps to avoid a brick.

Only I have one suggestion to the author the "bbupdater -v" command is useless after the bootloader downgrade because there's no baseband, in my opinion it's better to leave it out of the guide as it creates confusion.

Actually looks like ME and Cordax are on same situation I have OTB 1.1.2 and i have already JAILBREAK my IPHONe but now i am bit confused should i downgrade my IPhone to 1.1.1 1st if yes should i do it by using shift + restore Button and then select 1.1.1 restore file and all done or should i have to do some thing!!!??.

I am not interested in HW unlocking my iphone.
But it seems I had to read almost all the posts in order to understand that it is not a SW unlock!
I also learned that TP has to do with HW unlock (I still don't care...)
A "HW" in the title would indeed have saved me some time.

Quit your whining people, you're adding clutter to what is otherwise a useful thread.

If you're not aware of the unlocking progress so far, and that the 1.1.2 OTB unlock currently is ONLY hardware, then really you need to do some more reading.

This guy spent some time to kindly provide a useful guide for us and many people here are just plain ungrateful.

Read the stickies FIRST and then go looking at the other threads. It will give you some perspective for when you are reading other posts.

Most can tell what this guy is referring to as we have read the useful stickies posted by the dev team and others.

Stop complaining and appreciate someone else's effort!
If you don't care, then keep your comments to yourself.

when i run the launchctl etcc... to disable the commcenter it tells me there is no such process. when i try to run ienew it stops at waiting for data can someone help me
