Hi there.
I have some experience in hardware hacks, so I gave the guide a shot, but at step three where i'm suposed to enter

cd /usr/bin
ienew

into the console, i get the following message:

# Resetting the baseband...Done
# Opened: /dev/tty.baseband
# ieraser for 112OTB: tool by geohot
# Waiting for data...
# Can't write

Any sugestions?

I downgraded to 1.1.1, jailbroke, installed BSD subsystem, term vt 100 and Bootloader downgrade. opened the phone, entered flight mode and here we are...
I'm not suposed to connect the testpoints untill step 4 right...

first: sry for my bad english :D

same problem

bbupdater -v

resetting target...
Error: Failed to initialize comm layer:
done

Edit:

Have you unload these plist? After i do this, it goes.

Step 3: Erase baseband

Go to Settings on your phone and turn on Airplane Mode (if you use SSH, enter this command instead: launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist) . Then launch the terminal by tapping the Term-vt100 icon on your springboard.
Type these command:

cd /usr/bin/
ienew

EDIT:
NEW PROBLEM:

iunew

the iphone ask me "did you erased your flash first?"
