Hi there,
Where I can found or ask for these Sim Cards.
Actually I have a Orange Card from 2005 or 2006!
If I ask Orange to send me a other is this legal or what is the best way?
Is it possible to see without programming if the Sim Card will be work?
Thanks for your help!

Ciao bertolla

I had the same problem. I have an Orange account and I asked for a v1 SIM, but no chance to get one. Then I went to the Swisscom store and I told them that I need urgent an v1 sim, because I have a special phone etc.. So they told me that they will send me an SIM card from 1997 and it will be v1 :) but I have to make a new contract.. thats my story!

Bertolla, I have lost my AT&T Sim, where are you from exactley? If the data on the Card from AT&T has nothing to do with the used carrier, can you borrow me your card?

hi guys

i got a sim card of sunrise (year 2003-2004 or so)

where can i check if this card is a V1? As morge, i'm having an orange card (Year 2006)

Und jetzt noch auf Deutsch::)

Great work Dev -Team!!!!

Hi

All carriers don't want give you an old card !! Now all the shops have 3G card only !

For they give you an old card, you need a story ;) that's worked fine for me :

You need to call your carriers, just say, "i broke my 3G phone, i want to use my old phone ( may be 10 years ;) ) and the 3G card doesn't work with it, i called the manufactury (nokia or ...) they answer me "the card had too much power for your old phone !"
so please give me a card who work's with my old phone"
they can't refuse that !

great idea to ask for a old sim - if you got it, please inform us about how if supersim will work!

I had different calls with the "big" telecom in Switzerland. They stopped giving out the V1 cards about 6-7 years ago, when they stopped production and now with data services exchanged most of them. The old V1 cards have since then been handed out upon client request. It seems that now they haven't got any unactivated V1 cards left.

According to the information I got from the technician it has to be a 5V COMP128V1 card, wich either has never been activated or still is active. They will not be able to reactivate any deactivated V1 cards.

Well, we'll have to try to get the KI from them, if they have it...

Hi guys from Switzerland,

I've ask to my provider... the historical one to send me an additionnal card for the same number and they send me an 'Natel D' old sim card from year 1997.
We (freind and me) hope to receive our Infinity USB un. and 4 silver card soon. We've also order Turbo one. Let's try to unlock with both method, but I think I'll choose silver card and my friend the Turbo.
As soon as we achieve the unlock I'll let you know dude from switzerland what I've made and share my experience.
If someone has already made successfully the Silver Card unlock process or the Trubo one MP me.

Thank to all you guys who guide us in this Iphone experience.

i might be able to get my hands on an old swisscom sim from a friend of mine. But, i'm not sure if i can use my current orange number or will i have to use the swisscom number related to the old v1 simcard after the magic is done?

Hi Sanda,

First of all you need to reactivate this sim card but the easiest way is to ask the original provider to do it Swisscom in this case.

I guess I wasn't as lucky as you guys were...

Swisscom wouldn't reactivate an old V1 SIM. They said, they would send me a new one.

They told me, that I had two possibilities:

1. Get a SIM V1, that has never been activated
2. Get an activated SIM V1 and transfer it to my name

Well, I'll try again tomorrow and make them dizzy...

Thanks Phocus RS for your help!

You can use your orange number without any problem if you do a new contract with Swisscom BUT you'll need to cancel your contract with orange there is a 3 month notice and if you are on a minimum duration contract you are gonna pay something like 400.- ...

but anyway if you are not on 2 years contract with orange ... just contact swisscom and tell them you want a new contract with them and a V1 sim or your friend's sim :) .. they'll take care of everything :)

hope it helps

Peops, I have good friends working for Orange and Swisscom. Orange: no chance to get an v1, Swisscom: If you tell them you need a old SIM, they can send you an Natel D Sim from 1997, and this should work. I have recived my card, and it was funny, because you have to cut the card :) - Now, I'm strongly waiting for my Silvercard, they told me would be here today, but: Nothing yet.. Let's wait for next week.

IS SOMEBODY LIVING NEAR OLTEN WITH A WORKING IPHONE / CARDREADER AND WRITER??

Hey folks !

Awesome ... a Swiss Thread, cool !
Motivating indeed not to be alone here in Switzerland with an iPhone :)

At the moment it seems that the Supersim solution looks quite promising.
Thus I'll try to get one, too and the necessary hardware.

Since I still have an old Nokia 2110 (http://www.retrobrick.com/21102.html) somewhere, Swisscom should be convinced to give me a V1 SIM :D

Looking forward to hearing from your experiences with SIM unlocking/using the phone in Heidi Land !

Keep up the good fight Dev Team !!!
Great work ...

Greetings from ZH

I have just found an old diax pronto 2000 simcard. i don´t remember when I got this simcard (Probably in 2000 or 2001). Just tried to get the Ki and it worked! It took nearly 2 hours until I had the full Ki. To bad it is not activ anymore :( . If I´m right former diax is sunrise nowadays.

My provider is Swisscom and they send me an old sim card.
I've now Infinity USB unlimited and 4 sliver cards...
The problem is that the old card, I cannot extract the IMSI, ICCID and KI:mad: .
If I take my current one V3, then I can get all information except KI, error message telling that is no 128... compliant.
If someone has achieve to get the KI with an Swisscom SIM card, I'm very interesting.
Now I'm trying to find out which SIM card works and which not.
I don't know if they have not V1 card, the old one was from 1997....
Ten years, I assume that is old enough...
If someone has made a working supersim in Swizterland, can he MP me.

Thank you.

I ordered a Silver Card this week (wich will hopefully arrive soon), have a card reader and am looking for a never activated Swisscom Card V1 (tried a lot yesterday, but they wouldn't give me one). I will try at the shops again on Monday.
If I don't find one, I would be interested in a Sunrise prepaid card for the moment. Maybe anyone can help me out?

I could manage to find out my KI of my current SIM card , i have Card-R/W since long and also some cards, but they are all AT-Controller based.

I ordered some PIC2-Controller Cards (Silvercards), but they will arrive this week, but i realy want to test it asap.

So it would be very cool to find someone near Zurich, who can help me with a silvercard. I pay or i'll give replacement.

As I have ordered 2 silvercards yesterday and already have a card-reader/-writer, I'll give Sw.. 'till the end of the week to send me a V1 card and give the supersim-method a try.

Well, I guess bad luck for us Swisscom-clients. I talked to 3 people at the simcard-centre today and they all confirmed me: NO OLD V1 simcards left there. They're now trying to find me one at the different technicians desks...
I am also trying to find a used active/inactive V1 card from the same HLR segment (position 12 and 13 of the ICCID). If I find such a card, they could reactivate it on my number... puah - not easy.
I will let them search 'till the beginning of next week and then order a Turbo-sim, as I don't really want to spend the time searching for cards...

Interesting. I have an old Swisscom V1 card (2001) and have been able to extract KI (I even have a 99 card, but it's unreadable). And the Swisscom support told me they can't reactivate it, although I'm sure the number has not been given again, as I transfered it to my Orange account. Will try to insist. Would be best to use a swisscom prepay card than the Sunrise card I'm currently using. Unfortunately, I can't find an Orange card. The oldest I found yet is dated 2002 and I just succeeded in destroying it.

Jacoch the only way for the moment is the turbo sim solution for non v1 SIM card... If you are lucky find a SIM card between 2000 to 2002 Swisscom card... that the only extractitable SIM card for the KI then Supersim.
Otherwise no choice... Turbo or nothing...

That's what I'm saying above. I DO have a V1 swisscom, but it's unactivated. And support told me it's not possible to activate again. But they said the opposite to situ. That's why I'm surprised and will try to insist. Currently, I have a V1 from Sunrise working fine. I also have V1 from Orange 2002, but they stop working when trying to extract KI. So for Orange, it must be a 2001 card.

Swisscom seems to be able to reactivate it, if it's in the same HLR segment as your current card (Position 12 and 13 of the ICCID must be equal to your actual ICCID.
I've had to go through many technicians to find one who still had a unactivated V1, because apparently they run out of them a few weeks ago. But it's almost impossible, I think...

Would be great. I have a friend that can help me. I already searched his stock. But the oldest he found was dated 0302. And I bricked 2 of them. The manufacturing date is written on the sim itself. It's the second line of the serial (from the top). So if it's xx01, it's great and worth a try. Otherwise, no chance. Any luck?
