Cloning in Holland, anyone?

I'm in the same situation as a lot of you, waiting for a soft unlock. I am wondering is there are any people here in Holland that know which sims in Holland are clonable. I have T-Mobile and Telfort sims but don't know if i can use these?

I have a old Dutchtone sim from 1998 or something. I hope that its a V1 i really dont know at this moment. If it works you will hear from me. I dont even know older Sim cards in holland. Maybe BEN but dont know for sure.

Is het een orgineel T-Mobile kaart ? Zo ja van hoelang geleden? Ik heb ook een T-Mobile jaar of 3 geleden gekocht. T-Mobile bestaat sowieso niet lang hier in NL

Ik heb hier ook een iphone liggen, alleen ik heb een KPN 3G/UMTS simkaart. ik ben dus bang dat 't allemaal niet zo gaat werken als ik wil ;)

Maar de nieuwe T-Mobile kaarten zijn dus gewoon nog V1? Want dat sluit ik zo nog een mooi sim-only abonnementje af met unlimited gprs ;) (hoe werkt dat trouwens bij je, btje lekker?)

Wat mij het meest verbaasde is dat de conference call functie van de iPhone werkt. Dus je belt iemand, dan druk je op 'Add Call' en kun je een tweede persoon aan het gesprek toevoegen. Ook als je gebeld wordt , werkt dat.

Annalena your right. That is the one i bought to. Actually both the items that you mentioned in that post i bought. I am also waiting. Wich one are you gonna try? Libertel of Dutchtone ? I am going to try the dutchtone one. And if that doesnt work i hope that the T-Mobile work. It worked for Invaders and his one is only 15 months old. Mine is about 3 years old.

what happened to "personally wouldn't even try the simmethod, it's illegal because the ICC (typo?) doesn't check out with the carrier you're registering with. They will see this and may think someone is doing some fraud with your sim, and that's were the sh*t may hit the fan." :p.

Anyway, perhaps you're right and it's more common sense to try with a (not registered to your name ;) ) prepaid t-mobile sim... (thnx invaders for trying out).

Well, I wanted to use my main SIMcard (with my KPNsubscription) for this, so I decided not to do this because my personal data is known with the carrier.
That's exactly why I'm going to use it with a prepaidcard, it's a little bit safer.
And when the full unlock comes by then I will switch to my KPN-SIM.

So until a 'true unlock' is not here to stay I will never use/try it with a registered subscription SIM.:p

The supersim method is really cool also, but I googled it and I couldn't find any online shops in the Netherlands for this.

He hallo leuk een NL thread te zien.
Ik ben zwaar aan het dubben, wellicht hebben jullie leuke reacties.

Een collega van mij gaat eind deze maand naar de VS voor werk. En kan (hopelijk) een paar iPhones meenemen. Is dit nou verstandig of kun je beter wachten tot hij ooit in NL op de markt komt.
Als ik zo rondlees kun je hem gebruiken met een prepaid kaartje. Moet de telefoon hiervoor eerst een keer 'echt' geactiveerd zijn in de VS?
Is het nog een gok of krijg je hem hier zeker aan de praat. (ik ben gelukkig redelijk technisch onderlegd)
Is het bv. al duidelijk of je dan meteen UMTS hebt of gaat dat nog langer duren.
Wat zijn de ervaringen in NL? Het lijkt mij super...

iPhone doesn't support UMTS, so that's also true when used in Europe. Also, read the thread on using the iPhone in countries other than the US: "Tutorial: "Unlock" your iPhone with SuperSim" (http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2215) . You'll need a V1 sim, a smartcard reader/writer and a Silvercard. Cloning the sim is just a way to make your iPhone think it's still on the AT&T network and, yes it's "frowned upon" in the Netherlands (and that's an understatement....).
If you would like to use all of the iPhone's features, I advise you to wait until the phone can be unlocked properly (and to be honest, I am not so sure when this will happen) or until it comes out in Europe (however, even then it's not guaranteed to support UMTS)

bellen, sms, internet, meerdere bellers tegelijk. Ik heb een T mobile sim gebruikt.

It is my understanding that gold- silver and greencards can be used for cloning sims. A goldcard has too little memory for this particular method. Greencard or greencard2 should be possible, but I didn't try.
The funcards are different.

I don't understand to which step 11 you refer to (there are 3 :p ).
Anyway, I already jailbreaked and activated my iPhone with my prepaid Cingular (now AT&T) sim (not the sim that came with the phone!), so all I had to do after programming the supersim was to deactivate the iPhone in iPhoneinterface and then to replace the Cingular sim with the supersim and reactivate with the activation tool (generated with the IMEI and device id from iPhone, ICCID from T-Mobile sim).

By the way i tryd it with a dutchtone card (thats now Orange) and it doesnt work. Strange thing is the ICCID code ends with a letter and also is shorter(could not activated because of that) then the ICCID from T-Mobile and from ATT. I compared them.

But just wanted to let you guys know so that you dont try it.

voor het genereren van het 'activation record' heb je nodig:

1) DeviceID van jouw iPhone
2) IMEI van je iPhone
3) ICCID van je T-Mobile Sim

1) Vind je in de Lockdown folder op je PC
2) vind je door op de 'i' te klikken op de iPhone
3) Vind je met Woronscan

Gewoon de AT&T kaart laten zitten totdat je alle stappen van de handleidingen doorlopen hebt. Het wisselen van de sim is de allerlaatste stap.

iccid kan je ook op je sim kaart vinden (gebruik wel een vergrootglas en ook op de brief die je van je provider hebt gehad (althans dat was bij mij en heb T Mobile)

Ter info: de kaart van mijn Vodafone abonnement geeft geen Ki met Woronscan.
T-Mobile prepaid was geen enkel probleem. Volgens de dame in de winkel is deze kaart om te zetten naar een abonnement met behoud van de simkaart!

Update:
Also got the iPhone working with my 2006 T-Mobile "abo" sim.
Got the KI from a Dutchtone (now Orange) sim, which I purchased as an "abo" in november 2001 (and turned into prepaid in 2003, but that's not important). A newer (2003) Orange card didn't work out.
At the moment trying a 1999 Libertel (now Vodafone) sim.

stop ik de SIM in een andere phone krijg ik gewoon de SMS met dat er een voicemail is. In de iPhone niet, andere SMS-jes wel....

Ik vroeg me af of iemand misschien iemand weet die turbosims maakt (tegen vergoeding natuurlijk) liefst omgeving rotterdam.

En kan je met de turbosim nou elke simkaart gebruiken of alleen t-mobile? want ik heb een t-mobile abbo sim uit 2006, maar ook een vodafone abbo uit 2005..
Of moet ik eerst de turbosim maken met de tmobile kaart en kan ik hem daarna ook gebruiken voor het vodafone abbo?

Inmiddels ben ik ook aan het supersimmen geslagen maar kwam nogal wat problemen tegen. Onder meer dat er nergens een SilverCard te krijgen is voor een fatsoenlijke prijs.

Inmiddels heb ik een hele handel op de kop weten te tikken, maar moet er minimaal 10 bestellen. Wie wil er ook nog eentje? Moet binnen een week allemaal te regelen zijn! PM of reply.
